I was disappointed with the outcome but i was already very behind so chose not to start again, if i was given another chance i would defiantly research into snake bites more making a clear understanding of what i wanted my design to look like. I felt very rushed through this process of making the snake bite wound, next time i decided to use silicone i think working by myself in a quiet area would be completely more effective than in the session time. Practicing this mould wasn't possible as i had already missed two week of session, i acknowledge that many of my group didn't either practice due to the limited time given.
Pointers to remember
- Work at my own pace, don't rush or panic!
- You see what the camera sees.
- Research more into my design and practice.
- Buy your own equipment, you will be more effective and able to do what you like in you own time.
- TAKE PHOTOS ON CAMERA, DON'T RELY ON YOUR PHONE.
As you can see in the above pointers i have extremely highlighted taking photo's on your phone is not the correct way of doing things, firstly, you can make a big school error an forget to backup your photos and end up loosing them all together. Secondly, the reason i mention this is done exactly this. I have previously broken my phone and without thinking i erased the consent with out backing up essential photo's.
How has this effected me?
This has effected me in numerous ways, not only did i leave this last minute to post onto my blog so the mental worry going around my head is crazy. Tomorrow, being day of submission is hopefully the day i may be able to quickly achieve this mould and apply to my model. If i am not successful, i acknowledge my grade will not be accurate as you won't be able to see the first stage of the application.
Before i decided to tell you i had lost my images and reflect back on this myself, i did try an replicate the image of my mould using nipple covers. I understand being honest is always the best option, not only can you mark me fairly, is that i will now learn from my mistakes for future references.
Final shoot - Make up applied.
Once i applied the wound to the area and melted away the edges, i applied make up to the wound. As you can see in the below images, that it wasn't the greatest but i was still pleased that i had achieved my wound. The camera picks up everything, and blending is a compulsory element for this not to show. Adding pus and wound filler was much harder than i thought, as well as the blood! As you may know i didn't want the wound to look new, i wanted it to try and be exactly as the picture i decided to go with. Unfortunately, this part didn't go completely the way i wanted, looking back at these photos now i would do so much differently; less blood, wound filler & pus, blend more better and TAKE MY TIME!
As i have mentioned previously before i felt i was rushed, i don't know if this was because my model had already achieved her look or if i felt i was being watched over. Next time i know i will pick my models wisely and in ahead of session time, and be a lot more organised with the designing process.
