Below are two videos presenting snake bites, these snake bites were made with wax and make up. Making a look doesn't always have to be made by a mould, it can be created in different ways. Both this videos helped me visualise the outcome of my final design. In the second video it is seen to be using make up around the edges to create bruising. In my design i was to have light swelling around the side of the wound so i know i won't exactly being using the same colours, but maybe more reds/pinks around the sides.
This video is showing special effects of a scenario rather than a close up of the bite, you understand the model has been bite numerous of times, with the amount of blood everywhere and practically on death bed. I know my scenario is not so severe but it was interesting to see how a different scenario could look.
I would use wax on a design which is more complex and simple, Wax is a quick way of creating a prostethic, prehaps you didn't have enough time, moulding wax onto the skin can be just as stressfull but it is not as long winded as the whole mould making process. I used wax on event such as halloween, when you have numerous of people do to do, this is a simple quick fix.
